Adding full contact info

How do i enter names and numbers in the phone book? Not my first phone but the manual doesn't say how.

Hi,

You've probably figured it out by now, but I'll answer it in case anyone else has the same or related question.

To enter a new contact name and phone number you can just go to:

Menu -> Contacts -> New Contact

and fill in the first and last name and mobile phone number.

Where it gets just slightly tricky is that in order to add any additional info, you have to select

Options -> Add detail

and then choose to add any of the following fields: Number, E-mail address, Groups, Image, Ringtone (yes you can personalize the ringtone), Birthday, Company name, Job title, and a brief Memo.

You can save one or two keystrokes by pressing the nav down key then Options -> Add new contact.

Hi Sharon,

During your switch the phone was somehow set to store your contacts on the SIM card. When that's the case, you can't add additional details. To switch back to storing your contacts in the phone's internal memory, go to:

Menu -> Contacts -> Settings -> View Settings and for Contact location use the right or left nav keys to select Handset instead of SIM and click Done.

Now when you add contacts, you should be able to add additional details.

In order to add details to the contacts that are on the SIM card, you will also need to move those contacts to the handset memory. To do that, go to:

Menu -> Contacts -> Settings -> Move and select "SIM to Handset" with the Option "All together" also selected.

Mine does not give the Add Details under the Options. It did before I changed the SIM card due to transfering my phone number from the LG410. It no longer gives me the ability to add the contact to a group or any of the other options it had before.
