Downloading Net10 Games

Two Quick Tips to Make Sure You Get Your Games

Net10 games are not free, but for a few minutes of airtime (or about $6 worth) you can download one via your phone's web browser. It's pretty easy to do, but you do need to check a couple of things beforehand to make sure you don’t have any problems.

First, you should make sure you are in an area with good signal strength. The downloading process is not fast to begin with, but without a strong signal it will be even slower or may even have to be aborted.

Second, you should make sure that you have enough storage space on your phone for the game. These Java-based games seem to be about 300K in size. If you have a Net10 camera phone or music phone and if you like taking a lot of pictures or storing tons of your favorite songs, then it's easy to fill up your phone.

This actually happened to me when I first tried to record the demo. I didn't have enough space to download the game. This was a painful mistake as it cost me an extra 60 minutes to download the game again. Don’t let it happen to you.

Once you've taken care of these two things, things should go pretty smoothly, and you'll have a brand new way to pass the time on your phone without having to make any calls.

In the video above, I chose to download the game "How to Train your Dragon", figuring the kids would like to play it when we're stuck somewhere in traffic.

The process to download ringtones is pretty much the same.

Net10 Games Cheaper on the Web?

You can also download Net10 games via net10 website using your computer. You buy the game on the website and then a message is sent to your phone with a link to download the game.

For example, after I downloaded the above game directly on the phone for 60 minutes, I found that it was on sale on the website for $3.50, so you might find savings at Net10.com!
