No audible low battery indicator?

Is the phone suppose to let you know battery is low or do you always have to look at the icon. Last tracfone I had it would tell you battery is low.

You know, I hadn't thought about this, but you may be right. We still use an old LG 225 in the family and it starts beeping intermittently when the battery is low. I recall that some other Tracfones did that as well.

I've looked all through the LG 420g and haven't found anything in the menu to set this up. Unfortunately I just charged the phone yesterday so will take a while before the battery runs down to see how mine behaves.

My phone is only 10 days old and already I am having trouble with the battery (I think). It is always charged properly and some days the phone will work all day. Other days when it won't start up I have to take the battery out and wait a few seconds and then put it back in and it starts up.

Do I need a new battery or something else?
