Problem getting Facebook or e-mail to work

QVC had this phone for sale. Sounded like a good deal. Triple minutes for life, replacement warranty if phone was broken. Nice phone if facebook app. would work. I got this phone for myself and my granddaughter. We connected it to our home Wi-Fi. We had no problem connecting to Wi-Fi. However neither of the phones work with the web.

I can get on the internet via WiFi and use the included Facebook app to view my newsfeed as shown in the picture above. I do have one complaint with the web browser in that it is sometimes unable to load long web pages such as (ahem) the home page of this site even though there is a mobile version.

In terms of email, I did have some issue with the email client in terms of logging in after setting up my email client - not sure what the problem was there. However, I was able to access Gmail from the web browser as shown in the second screen shot.

With the WiFi connection, you can try refreshing the connection to see if that help. Otherwise, if there's a defect with the phone, perhaps you can get a replacement from QVC. (I got mine direct from Tracfone.)
