Which Bluetooth Adaptor Do you have

by Kim

This is in referrence to SB's page giving step by step instructions on how to pair up an LG420G Tracfone with a Bluetooth Adaptor he had. I recently purchased the same phone and want to transfer pictures to a desktop running XP SP3. I did look over the Bluetooth Adapters on the link given and am confused on which one would do the job.

Was wondering which adaptor SB (admin) is using. Since the one SB is using with the LG420G Tracfone it would make my decision easier.

Thanks in advance,

Kim

Hi Kim,

Pretty much any adapter should work, but since you asked, I'm using a TRENDnet TBW-105UB. There is a newer compact version called the TBW-106UB.

I've used the 105-UB successfully with laptops running Windows XP Home, Windows Vista Home Basic, and Windows 7 Home Premium.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
sb (admin)

bluetooth adapter for the pc
by: Anonymous

I use a no-name $3 (includes shipping) blu-ray usb adapter I bought on ebay from Hong Kong. It had a lot of negative reviews, but it was so cheap it was worth trying anyway. It took maybe 10 days to arrive. I just plugged it in the computer, and Windows XP-SP3 found it. No need to load any drivers. Then I just activated blu-ray on the LG420G and double-clicked the blutooth icon on the computer and it found the 420G immediately. I uploaded a jpeg file from the pc to the 420G, which is what I use as my display on the 420G.
