Decent phone, but not the greatest

It's alright, especially considering the cost after using the three discount codes available on retailmenot.com (no longer available). The total cost for 120 days, 600 minutes with the accessory kit is under $24 delivered. So less than $0.04 per minute, a great bargain.

The phone is small and lightweight, a huge plus. It gets good reception and is easy to use.

The down sides...

For me number one con with this LG 300 is the dim screen (yes that conserves battery life). The screen is very dim and is difficult to read. If you have the auto lock security on, the screen dims until unlocked. If you get a call while locked, you cannot read the screen or determine what options are available, you have to just push the end key, then you can unlock the screen and look to see if you have just missed a call or have a message. The phone does not show if you have any voicemails, you just have to check if you missed a call to see if you have any.

The hands free (speaker phone) option isn't available until the other party answers the phone for outgoing calls.

The lcd screen is very susceptible to scratches.

Taking into consideration that you can just reorder a new phone every 4 months for under $24 and have 600 minutes (plus any carry over minutes unused), this phone is a bargain. It makes a great second phone.

Great Deal! Bonus codes worked!
by: Anonymous

Today, July 4, 2010, I just submitted an online order for the re-conditioned LG 300 plus the 300 minute card. The phone will be used in Houston, TX. I used the bonus codes mentioned above and got the accessory kit free, plus $8 off the total, plus free shipping. So I paid $22 (+ sales tax) for the whole shebang - phone, accessory kit, 120 days service, and 600 minutes. Best deal around!
