Just want my QWERTY LG530g

I have a Tracfone cell LG 530g which is and has been great and works here. So I got a new 530g which could receive text but could not send.

Customer Service Said Get a New Phone

After calling 4 times and spending hours with customer service, I was told the new 530g is no longer supported in my area 65459. CS did not know why my old cell still does work, but the new one does not. They are the same phone (model, hardware and software), but still the Tracfone tech told me I had to buy a newer phone.

Am very disappointed after always and only having Tracfones. Love them but not sure what I can now do. I wanted a simple QWERTY phone and not a smartphone.

I would try to activate your new phone over the internet and not using the 1-800 number.

Many times when you call customer service there is no problem with the phone being able to be activated in your area code, they just don't know what the problem is or they don't want to mess with it. So they tell you that the phone can not be activated in your current zip code.
