The $1.99 A Day Plan: How Many Hours Are In A Day Dude?

I understand the usage fees. What I cannot get anyone at Verizon to AGREE on is this:

You are charged 1.99 if you answer/make a call or text, ect....for the DAY. Does not a day have 24 hours?

One rep told me for example it is up to, say, 11:59 PM.

I was charged 1.99 on 2/23 at 10:22 AM, and then I was charged 1.99 on 2/24 at 9:16 AM.

Shouldn't the fee that began at 10:22 the previous day have included the 2nd 1.99 charge?
This makes me crazy. I don't care if it's only 2 bucks. It adds up.

Verizon Pay as you go Plans.

You are charged the $1.99 every day. The days go from Midnight or 12:00 A.M. to 11:59 P.M. Even though the calls were made with less than 24 hours in between them, they were made on two separate days.

Verizon pay as you go will leave you paying more than you would pay with an unlimited plan if you use your phone more than half the month.
