Bonus Minutes Go Bye Bye!

Beware that if you upgrade from a previous Tracfone you will loose your bonus minutes. I had 1714 minutes on my old Motorola V120 and only got 860 minutes transferred. That policy stinks and will make me consider different carriers the next time I upgrade.

Bonus Minutes Transferred for me
by: cris

All of my minutes easily transferred from my old CDMA Nokia phone to my new Mot w376g. And, if you buy a one year card, get double minutes and a frequently offered bonus, you end up getting 1000 minutes for $100 or 10 cents/minute. Works for me and I've had a tracfone for a long time--maybe 7 years.

I kept my bonus minutes
by: admin

Henry,

Thanks for your report.

I have always kept my bonus minutes whenever transferring minutes from one Tracfone to another, however they were all GSM Tracfones like the W376g.

The V120 is apparently one of the older CDMA (possibly analog) Tracfones, so it may have been just a software glitch when upgrading. Did you check with customer support about your lost minutes?

Have any other readers experienced this problem of losing bonus minutes when transferring phone numbers?
