Can't Transfer Service to New Phone

I bought a new phone, and it seems I'm not able to transfer my previous account to my new phone. I have almost a full month of service left on my old phone, which got dropped and broke. Why?

I finally talked to a factory rep concerning this problem and he was able to go inward to my account and clear up the mishap. Thanks. Btw, I love my new phone.
