Samsung T245g ringtone volume

Samsung T245g ringtone volume

Q: How to adjust the Samsung T245g volume?
A: You can't use the side buttons to adjust the volume, because, surprise, there aren't any. Instead you can go into the settings or (during a call) use the nav keys.

Via Sound Profile Settings

If you are not in the middle of a call then you can saunter through the menu and go to

Menu - Settings -> Sound Profiles.

Then scroll to the active profile and select OK to edit the profile. Then you can choose from three different tabs - phone, message and speaker. Select the Phone tab to adjust the ringtone sound and volume. Select the Message tab to adjust the message alert volume. Finally, select the Speaker tab to adjust the call volume

Use Up Down Nav Keys During a Call

During a call you obviously can't go to the settings to adjust the volume. But don't worry, you can simply press the up down Nav keys to adjust the volume. When you press the Nav key once, the screen shows the current speaker volume, pressing either the up or down Nav key again adjusts the volume up or down.

Going Strong since 2012!
by: cat1092

I knew that going in, that I wasn't going to get a $200 phone for $6.99 + $4.99 shipping, but I also didn't expect it to meet all of my phone needs for 3 years straight.

Since I don't do text messages, other than a occasional one, of the 'Happy Birthday' or one of the others built into the phone, that's no big deal to me.

What is a big deal is that it's a double minute phone, I can add a 200 minute airtime card & find a bonus promo for 60-100 more minutes on the Internet, and get 460 to 500 minutes for $32 from eBay vendors.

And Thanks to this Topic, I was able to adjust the volume in the middle of a conversation, so that was great. It's no big deal for the lack of a side button that often gets hit and knocked out of whack anyway.

Really, what does one expect for $12 or so? I'd say that maybe my phone has been more of an exception than the rule, on the other hand Samsung is a great brand of all types of electronics. So it doesn't surprise me in the least that it's lasted 3 years & still kicking.

Just purchased a brand new spare battery for $3 for the phone, as it's beginning to hold less of a charge, however considering how long it's been used, it's a miracle that it's lasted this long for $12 total.

POS phone
by: Anonymous

This phone is a POS! Thankfully, this website explained how to adjust the volume, or I would have thrown this POS phone out! The only reason I have it is because I can't afford a real phone just yet.

Thanks for solving my problem...

After downloading and reading all the way through the tracfone manual for the T246G, I found you! Couldn't wait to work through it, so called T245G from my house phone, placed it by my radio, and took the call in another room away from the radio and house phone. How simple...just pressed above the "OK" (the NAV button) and, eureka! The volume came up! So, in two days have persisted and found answers to HOW to turn seaker on (press the "OK" when taking or making a call) and how to increase the volume! For 10 bucks I nw have a BASIC functional phone, which is all I want or need! I text, call, and take voice mail. Don't do Internet - no email, FB, GPS, or any other alphabet soup! Now if they could just fix customer service!

Volume etc.
by: sb (admin)

Anonymous, you're free to have your own opinion, however this page describe exactly how to adjust the speaker and ringtone volume on this phone, so I'm not sure what your comment is about.

Sherman, I'm not sure what you mean by, ". . . all that garbage." This is an independent website and is not published by Tracfone. The main page about the T245g is a review of the phone and the guest section is for additional reader reviews and comments.

Regards.

Ready for garbage can
by: Anonymous

This worthless phone is best seen as an alternative to nothing at all. It is barely better than a rock. The lack of an external speaker and volume control ensures that only those with exceptional hearing will be able to use this phone successfully. I have had it working for one week and can not wait to get to the store to purchase a replacement. This phone, Samsung T245G, is a waste of natural resources.

Tracfone operations
by: Sherman

The comments are right. You assume everyone is a wiss on these phones . You need to go into more details on the instructions for operating the phone and less on all the garbage that we really dont care about.the instruction manual is not very helpful on small details.

COMMENTS ON SAMSUNG MODEL T245G

The manual is not complete enough(short of explaining)
I have it set on tone and vibrate all it does is vibrate.
I apparently blocked or rejected a call and now that persons calls all go to voice mail..
The volume of the ear piece is so low I could not hear instruction on how to set up my voice mail..
Either the phone is worthless or the manual is your more worried about selling airtime International calls warranties and laws than how to opertate the damn phone.
