Q: How to send a text via email to this phone?

A: Coverage is now provided by Verizon, so in order to send a text message to a Jitterbug phone number by email you simply have to follow the same set of instruction as you would for Verizon:

Send it to:

ten-digit-jitterbug-number@vtext.com

Don't separate the numbers with hyphens. So, if your Jitterbug number was 571-555-1212, you would send the email to 5715551212@vtext.com

It works for me.

You can send pics by text though probably only a couple at a time. I have an old Nokia flip phone and had no problem sending photos. Email is easy to send to the jitterbug by using the phone #'s (10 #s) @vtext.com.
Got a jitterbug flip for my wife as she doesn't like smart phones. Sometimes the flip phone owner may have to contact jitterbug customer service to set up the incoming text, but we don't have that problem.

P.S. Make sure the jitterbug goes off when you shut the phone. We have already heard voices after the phone is closed, and they can hear you also. Close it a couple of times.
