Incoming calls going directly to voice mail?

Does anyone know how to stop the incoming calls from going directly to the voicemail, instead of ringing, and then manually picking up the call like it did "normally" for the first few months, in a normal manner? For some reason two days ago, it just decided to NOT RING anymore and send all incoming calls directly to voice mail. How do I stop, or change this feature back to a normal ring, and pick-up call mode? After scrolling through the units menu(s), and looking at the brief manual, I can not find where it's covered. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I can think of two possibilities, one good and one bad. The bad one would be that something is broken in your phone, and it's not able to connect to the network. However, if you can make outgoing calls then this is probably not the issue.

The good one would be that you've accidentally put your phone in "Flight Mode".

Flight Mode

To check if the phone is in Flight mode, go to:

Menu -> Settings -> Sound Profiles

and see if there is a check next to Flight Mode. If there is, then that's your problem, and you can get out of it by simply selecting the Normal Sound Profile. On my phone, I was in the Normal mode and when I selected the Flight Mode option, an alert panel popped up to say that all connections will be disconnected.

I hope this is what is causing it. If not then perhaps someone else has a suggestion. Or you could call their customer support.

Count me among the Tracfone goes to Voicemail inexplicably group. Samsung A51 with Tracfone. It goes to voicemail with the phone not even ringing and then no notification of a missed call or anything. But hey, at least the service plan is cheap.

I had same problem with incoming calls going straight to voicemail. I just found my daughter's number was accidentally on my blocked numbers. Will see if that's the whole problem in time.

My Tracfone also just started going directly to voicemail instead of ringing. I need it to ring so I can FIND it! LOL I don't always keep my phone on me so I frequently forget where I left it. I need it to ring so I can find it!!!!!!

I am quite sure that the problem lies with Tracfone. I've had Tracfone for years and this is a new phenomenon for me. My phone is about a year old but this problem has been reoccurring for the past 6 months - consistently. Tracfone said it's probably my SIM card but when I asked if that is the case, how are you able to fix it from your end? What did you do to deactivate the vmail? I received no answer.

Wow, can't believe I have to look for another carrier.

I have had the same problem with my Samsung Tracfone. Powering off and then back on has been working for me.

You all should know this is because Tracfone saves money pumping your calls to voice mail and telling you it is not their fault. It is their fault. Other providers do not have this problem.

Seams the best response is a boycott of Tracfone.
We have power folks, use it. Money talks.

I had this issue with single contact. I fixed by going to contacts shortcut and clicking three vertical dots on contact to go into edit mode and clicked three vertical dota again on top right of contacts. There are options there. One is all calls to voicemail. Uncheck that. Maybe this helps someone

I had the same problem. If you haven't done so, under "Sound & notifications" check "Notification mode". My wife found that mine was on mute - changing this fixed it. Upside: now my wife can reach me anywhere. Downside: now my wife can reach me anywhere.

I have Samsung SGH-S1500G on TracFone, likely the cheapest phone available for TracFone. My phone does the same thing, periodically going straight to voicemail (and oftentimes that voicemail doesn't show up for a whole day), and doesn't show as a "Missed Call".

I've called TracFone support a few times to re-set voicemail, pretty worthless. My Samsung SGH-S1500G does not have a "Flight Mode" so that's not an issue (plus I'm afraid to fly).

While on TracFone support, what seemed to "correct this" - at least for some time - was to power off the phone and then power up again, and confirm operation by calling the TracFone from the house phone. So I guess I need to check for ringing operation much more often. Really sucks !!!

I too have the phone automatically going to voice mail.

But, when I check to see any missed calls or messages NONE are recorded.

I tried to call my Tracfone, also a LG840G, and it still goes to direct voicemail.

I even took out the battery and sim card for over 20 minutes, and still it automatically goes to voice mail.

This is irritating.

And, Tracfone says that they do not have a problem.

WRONG.

We've been having this problem last 6 months. I called Tracfone and spoke to some morons. They called me and of course, it came through. He said, "no problem". I've had them for 15 years and this never happened before. Gonna have to put my wives on a more reliable carrier.

When I am out of the state my phone goes right to voice mail. I am unable to receive a call. When I am in my home state my phone is fine. The other problem I have is the phone ring is not loud enough. I have no way to make the ring louder. The replacement phone given me does not have the same features my old phone had. I never had trouble when out of the state with my LG phone. Now I have a Alcatel one touch. I don't like this phone at all.

I wish I could figure out how to access the Menu. I see it on the screen, but how to you get to it? There's no "Menu" button.
