Sending additional numbers - voicemail password?

Is it possible to add a password # after dialing a contact entry that is stored in my contacts that can be used to access my work voice mail. In other words dial a number from my contacts then a wait then press send again to send my additional number.

Hi Ken,

I don't think it's possible to do that with the LG 420g. You need a phone where it's possible to program the dialer. Below are some options for getting such a phone.

Some of Verizon's phones can do that. The device specific instructions are here:

Voicemail programming instructions

These phones are more expensive and are usually offered as part of a contract. I don't really cover them on this site here.

AT&T offers some phones that allow you to program voicemail. Judging from the search results, all the Blackberry phones can do this as well as some of the LG phones. Again these are mostly contract phones though so are not reviewed here.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Additional numbers

I believe I found my own answer. I found if you enter the number you want to dial and then press the Star key two or three times it will toggle to a pause or a wait so that you can then dial an extension or second number. Thought you may be interested
