Is there any way you can send a signal from the LG420G or the LG440G to open a garage door or entry gate?
I seem to recall reading something about holding down a certain key for 10 seconds or more. I think it was called "Long tone capabilities".

This page on the 420g indicates that it has long tone capabilities. This could possibly work for gate entry devices that operate via the phone system.
As for garage doors, I'm only familiar with the kind that use a remote, and for that situation this would not work. Some newer garage doors may be accessible through an app, but in that case you would need a smartphone.
