Web Block or Keypad Lock on LG 500g

LG 500g auto key lock
LG 500g backlight setting
Hello, I was looking into a cheap alternative to contract plans and I started looking into TracFone. The one looks and sounds like everything I need. The only problem is that from all the reviews I've read the Web soft key is a real pain. So I was wondering if there is any way to lock the web key, or lock the phone. It would save the worry of hitting the key or accidentally pushing it when putting it in your pocket (to avoid the risk of losing minutes). I'd appreciate your help!

Hi Conrad,
While there's no "web block" on the LG 500g, you can easily lock the keys. You can do this manually by pressing and holding the key with the envelope and lock icon at the bottom of the keypad. You can see that closeup of the keypad on the main review page for this phone.
Auto Key Lock
If you don't want to do lock it manually every time, you can also activate the Auto Key Lock by going to Settings -> Phone -> Auto Key Lock. The auto lock delay is set indirectly by the backlight setting. The backlight duration (found at Settings -> Display -> Backlight) can be set from 5 seconds all the way up to 2 minutes. The keypad locks a couple of seconds after the backlight dims.
This should solve the problem not only of accidentally starting the web browser, but also of making accidental calls as well. Note, once you unlock the phone and start to use the phone, you can still accidentally press the web browser button because of its location, but you basically learn not to do it, most of the time.
Hope this helps.
